About “Casas do Cinzeiro”
Casas do Cinzeiro originated in 2014 with the purchase of Simão’s current house, which was in a state of ruin. This house, like all future houses that currently make up Casas do Cinzeiro, as the name suggests, are located on Rua do Cinzeiro and in Travessa do Cinzeiro in the place of Pedreira de Nordeste.
Simão’s house was inaugurated in 2016 after reconstruction work was carried out on the property, maintaining the original design on the outside and some structural elements on the inside, such as stone panels that remained visible to demonstrate the type of construction of the property.
The result of operating Simão’s house as a Tourist House in a rural space exceeded expectations, leading to the opening of the Vista da Marquesa house two years later, this new house, which was my father-in-law’s holiday residence in Pedreira, was inaugurated in 2018 and also achieved great success in its exploration.
Two years later, as a result of excellent feedback from customers and exploration results, we decided to move forward with a new project to restore another ruin to install another tourist house in a rural space, the future Castanheiro house.
Casa do Castanheira began its activity in 2019, presenting several innovations in relation to Casa do Simão and Casa Vista da Marquesa, namely the existence of a swimming pool with the possibility of water heating, air conditioning in the bed rooms, stove with door glass, orchard area on the property of the house, panoramic balcony overlooking the sea, among many other incredible details seeking to reach a new level of excellence, which was achieved without any doubt with excellent feedback and scores from customers over the last three years.
In 2022, to meet demand and following the company’s growth, a new project was started to restore another house in ruins, following the work carried out on the other three houses already in operation, which was completed in December 2023.
Arriving in December 2023, after completing its rehabilitation, Casa do Cinzeiro begins its activity, representing a strong commitment to offering a residence where traditional architecture is visible in the design and materials used as well as in the refinement of its finishes and decoration, as well as the services this unit offers, heated pool, massage area in the waterfall pool, among many services.
At Casas do Cinzeiro we have a professional team always on hand to meet any request.
Check-in is in person and we carry out late check-ins, guarantee parking space for customers’ vehicles, house cleaning and change of bed and bath linen, beach towels and firewood for the barbecue and stove, these services being free.
For extra payment we serve breakfast, and the swimming pool at Casa do Castanheiro and Casa do Cinzeiro can be heated, also for extra payment!
We are always contactable at any time of the day and ready to respond to any situation that may arise.
House cleaning and gardening services will be scheduled in advance at times when customers are not at the property so as not to disturb their stay.
We have several partnerships with several companies, including rent a car, whale watching, extreme sports, horse and carriage rides, visits to organic milk production farms, among other activities with discounts for our customers.
Our objective is to provide our guests with a stay with all the amenities and privacy in the middle of the stunning nature in which the houses are located.
All of our activity is governed by respect for the natural environment that surrounds our homes, from taking care of the type of lamps used, energy class of equipment, recycling of waste produced and use of solar energy to produce energy for water heating. and electricity in three of the houses, Simão’s house being completely autonomous in terms of energy, being what we could say is a green house with a minimal ecological footprint.
Another common feature in Casas do Cinzeiro is the absence of gas in them, with water heating and energy used in the stove and oven being electric.
We continue to implement measures and equipment that ensure that all Casas do Cinzeiro are 100% autonomous in terms of the use of renewable energy.
Our existence aims to provide a very pleasant stay that provides great memories, making our guests feel comfortable and at home so that they feel like returning.
